Foster Youth Education Support Seminars
The Children’s Fund in partnership with the Santa Clara County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) provides social workers, careproviders, ILP staff, and other interested parties with the tools, resources and information to effectively serve as an educational advocate for our foster youth. These critical staff members often fill the role of parents in advising and supporting our children who often change schools 10-15 times during their education.
The seminars inform attendees of the A through G requirements to keep our youth on track for high school graduation, of the testing and resources available for special needs, and the “how to” for transferring timely and accurate student records to their current school.
Education Support programming offered in partnership with the Santa Clara County Department of Family and Children's Services California Connected by 25 initiative.
